SERÇEV Accessible and Vocational Technical Anatolian High School – 2017

What was our goal?

Our project, which is one of the best examples of state-NGO cooperation; The school, which was built in Ankara Çayyolu campus within the framework of the protocol signed between the Ministry of National Education and SERÇEV; It is a new model created to enable students with cerebral palsy who have completed the eighth grade of secondary school to continue their education with their peers within the current system, and to ensure that qualified workforce can be employed in the sector as a job. It aims to provide accessible and equal education opportunities to all children with disabilities. In addition, in the school consisting of Radio Television, Information Technologies, Agriculture; 29 classrooms, radio and television workshops, information technology workshops and laboratories, agricultural workshops under construction, z-library, 2 parent waiting rooms, 1 gym, 1 multi-purpose hall, meeting room, music and painting workshops, infirmary, There is a cafeteria, public education course classes opened for parents and students. All spatial details and informatics products have been designed by selecting children with cerebral palsy with multiple disabilities. In the 2018-2019 academic year, in the AMP (Anatolian Vocational) program, there are 4 9th grade classes, 4 1 10th grade classes in the field of information technologies, 2 10th grade classes in the field of radio and television, and one 11th and 12th class in the field of Information Technologies. In these classes, our children with normal development and our children who are subject to inclusive education receive education together. In addition, with the article dated 16.06.2017 and numbered 9190306, special education classes with mild and moderate-severe students with cerebral palsy were opened within our school. Our student number is 183. We have 60 inclusive, 103 normally developing and 20 special education students. Due to the fact that parents of children with cerebral palsy provide care support for their children, a kindergarten and care room have been created considering other children in need of care in addition to these departments.
